Privacy Policy for fit.

Last updated: May 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how the fit. mobile application ("fit.", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our Android application (the "App"). By using fit., you agree to the practices described below.

1. Who we are

fit. is operated by the developer team behind the fit. virtual try-on application. For questions about this policy, contact us at samyakjain269@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

  • Email address — used to create your account and sign you in via our authentication provider (Supabase). If you choose Sign in with Google, your Google account email is shared with us by Google for the same purpose. We do not send marketing messages.
  • Display name — optional. If you enter a name in the in-app settings, it is stored on your device only.
  • Photos of yourself — uploaded so the App can generate virtual try-on images.
  • Photos and URLs of garments — provided by you (camera roll uploads or e-commerce product links such as Myntra, Ajio) so the App can fetch the garment image.
  • Try-on results — images generated by combining your photo and a garment.
  • Poll responses — if you create or vote in a friend poll, your vote and (optionally) your name are stored to render results.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Network logs — minimal request metadata (timestamps, response codes, IP address) is logged by our backend hosting provider (Railway) for short-term operations and abuse prevention. We do not run any analytics or crash-reporting SDK in the App.

We do not collect: precise GPS location, contacts, calendar, SMS content, microphone audio, or browsing history outside the App.

3. How we use your information

  • Authenticate your account via email and password, or via Sign in with Google.
  • Generate virtual try-on images by sending your photo and the garment image to our backend AI service.
  • Fetch garment images from product URLs you submit.
  • Host friend polls so others can vote on your try-on results.
  • Operate, maintain, debug, and improve the App.
  • Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and policy violations.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your photos to train machine-learning models. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Photo retention and deletion

Photos you upload (your selfie, garment images, and AI-generated try-on results) remain stored on our servers until you delete them or delete your account. You can delete any individual photo at any time from the Profile tab inside the App. You can delete your entire account from the in-app settings sheet or by emailing samyakjain269@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my fit. account".

When you request account deletion, all account-linked photos and try-on records are removed from our active systems within 30 days. Anonymous, aggregated metrics that do not identify you may be retained indefinitely.

For details on what is deleted and what may be briefly retained, see our Delete your account page.

5. How we share information

We share information only with the following categories of service providers, who process it on our behalf under contract:

6. Sharing try-on images

You can share an AI try-on image from the App by tapping the share button, which opens your device's share sheet (for example, WhatsApp). When you choose a destination, that app or service receives the image and handles it under its own privacy policy. fit. itself does not host a public gallery of your try-on images.

7. Children's privacy

fit. is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where that is the applicable threshold). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact samyakjain269@gmail.com and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use HTTPS for all network communication, authenticated session tokens (JWT) for API access, and presigned URLs for direct-to-storage uploads. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no system is perfectly secure.

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the App.
